I beg to differ. I am a woman and I actually like Old Navy pants because they seem to fit me really well (length- & fit- wise), but their size is off and it's not in a good way for me. For Old Navy pants, I have to wear a size 1 or 2, but when I go to Gap, I can still fit in size 0! Talk about bizarre, because they are like the same company!! And it's a for sure that I cannot fit into a size 0 in Old Navy pants. They are way too small and can hardly pull them up and if I can, I cannot zip it.

And sometimes it's not just Old Navy, some of the department store brands are the same way. I would have to wear a size 3 or 5, but luckily I don't buy my pants from department stores. Then, when I go to Express or The Limited, I still wear a size 0 and anything bigger would be way too loose. I think each company sizes their clothes slightly differently, which is odd, because they should be universal. Go figure...

I think that they're bigger than actual size. I have to buy a size smaller for their jean shorts.

i usually just but shirts at Old Navy, and those always fit well. I only have one pair of pants from there and they are big in the waist, and it was a smaller size than i normally get. ; )

What kind of pants are they? If they're denim, you should keep in mind that denim streches a half inch to an inch for every hour you wear them. I do find that the numbers do run big. It's in how they cut the material.

Places do that to make people feel better about themselves. It is more common in ladies fashions. If a woman goes to a store and she's a 12, and goes to another and shes an 8, she will keep going back to thr store where she is an 8. Fashion thrives on American's vanity.
