Should I remove draw string on leg of old navy cargo shorts?

Tim W asked:

I just bought a pair, and I like old navy’s cargo shorts mainly because they are cheap and all my previous ones from them have lasted me quite a while. However these draw strings on the legs of the shorts seem pretty stupid… would it be unwise to just cut them off or something?

tie them in a bow :]

Cut them off, pull them out or whatever. It may prevent a nasty tripping accident later on.

I know the ones your talking about. If you don’t like them, hack them off. But don’t leave ugly holes or fringe.

Not at all, if you dont like them and arent going to use them then get rid of em! Especially since they wont be serving any purpose.
You can just pull them out or just cut the part that hangs out off.
