Shannon asked:

I work at an amusement park and my work uniform is pretty basic: a red teeshirt and a pair of navy shorts. However, the shorts are terribly, terribly uncomfortable. Not only do the shorts extend all the way past the knee, but they supply WAY too much crotch room! I pull the shorts up as far as they go… up to about an inch above my waist, but I still have a good three inches at least left of space between the shorts-crotch and my own. Is there any way to get the shorts hemmed….upward? Like taking those extra inches from the waist? And could I do it? The last thing I want is to pay someone else money to fix my crappy work uniform after already having bought it to begin with.
They’re complete with pockets, a clasp, and a zipper.
