I have lost some weight recently but I’m pretty sure I would fit into a size 4 in ladies and they might even be a little loose. my Old Navy shorts from a few years ago are size 6 and too loose. I’m 5’0″, 125 lb. and athletic. anyone have suggestions?

It shows a girl and in the long version, she’s outside and she’s forgotten her cell, she’s sees a pay phone but she doesn’t have a quarter, then some hot guy comes up and gives her one. I just bought a pair, and I like old navy’s cargo shorts mainly because they are cheap and all my previous ones from them have lasted me quite a while. However these draw strings on the legs of the shorts seem pretty stupid… would it be unwise to just cut them off or something?
