superawesomeama asked:

I got these workout shorts from Old Navy and they have this mesh panty thing attatched to the inside. Am I not supposed to wear underwear?
They’re definitely not mens shorts OR unisex as I bought them from the women’s section in old navy and they are pink and quite small.

I’ve seen a lot of running shorts like that, I think it’s supposed to keep your panties in place.

  • Dustin says:

the mesh thing is built in underwear just like little boys’ swimming trunks have

  • jekin says:

You have men’s shorts or unisex shorts. The mesh is to keep a guy’s machinery from flopping around

think of them as breathable built in under ware. But if you can see up the leg, i’d suggest wearing panty anyway, lor risk putting on a show..

  • Andrew says:

You don’t need it. These are meant for athletes that want the breathability of no underwear but obviously aren’t going to wear running shorts with none. You won’t hurt anything if you cut it out and wear your underwear under them just like normal shorts.

Men’s bathing suits sometimes have the same thing under their bathing suits, we all just cut that right out…

    Hope this helps!
