Why do “short” Old Navy jeans fit me when “Regular” jeans of other brands are too short?

I ordered some Old Navy jeans on Ebay and when they got here I freaked out because they said “short” but they fit me just fine. I’m just wondering why when regular(not short or tall) jeans from every other brand of the same size are wayyy too short? Does Old Navy make their jeans taller? I’m 5’10″ BTW.

Different brands have different sizes. My sizes range a ton. I’ve been a 3 and I’ve been a 7. They may just make them taller. I havent noticed that thought with Old Navy, you may have gotten a defective pair.

I think every clothing designer’s sizes vary…so it’s good to try on clothes before buying them…or make sure they have an easy return policy if you can’t try them on first. My clothes sizes range a lot just based on who makes them.

I’m pretty sure that the Old Navy “short” pants are a 30″ inseam and those fit me perfect (I’m 5’1). So maybe it could have been the cut of the jean that you ordered. You may have a short inseam but have a long torso. More relaxed fit type cuts will seem be a bit longer a opposed to boot cuts or skinny jeans because the rise is generally higher.
